The Procurement & Pricing Manager is Innovatus’ final commercial quality-control gate before a formal quote is submitted to a prime contractor, customer, contracting office, or contract vehicle.This role does not technically validate the solution. It ensures that commercial, supplier, pricing, compliance, and execution issues are fully addressed before Innovatus makes a formal offer.
Primary purpose
Receive completed opportunity packages, review the commercial and sourcing foundation of each deal, resolve gaps with the team, and submit only approved, complete quotes.

Key responsibilities
Opportunity intake and BOM review
- Receive the developed opportunity package from the Inside Sales Representative (ISR) when a formal pricing action is required.
- Review the proposed bill of materials for completeness, consistency, quantities, accessories, warranties, services, and apparent omissions.
- Perform a commercial quality-control review of how products and services are kitted and priced.
- Identify BOM inconsistencies or missing components and return technical questions to the ISR, Account Executive, OEM, or other technical resource.
- Confirm that appropriate OEM and distributor quotes have been obtained.
- Verify that supplier quotes remain valid for the expected quote-submission and award timeline.
- Identify expired, stale, incomplete, or commercially risky quotes and direct the ISR to obtain refreshed OEM or distributor pricing.
- Verify applicable OEM authorizations, reseller status, letters of supply, certifications, and other supplier requirements.
- Verify deal registrations, special pricing, channel protections, and associated expiration dates.
- Confirm that registrations and authorizations are assigned to the correct Innovatus entity and opportunity.
- Confirm that proposed products can be sold through the selected contract or acquisition path.
- Work with the ISR and Account Executive to confirm the correct contractual customer or contract vehicle.
- Review product availability, supplier inventory, lead times, lifecycle status, end-of-life risk, and anticipated pricing changes.
- Validate the commercial pricing build-up and ensure all applicable costs are included, such as:
- Product cost
- Freight and shipping
- Financing and flooring costs
- Credit or transaction fees
- Contract-vehicle fees
- Warehousing, asset tagging, configuration, kitting, and overpacking
- Logistics and insurance
- Other deal-specific costs
- Ensure proposed margins meet Innovatus standards.
- Obtain leadership approval for margin exceptions or strategic pricing.
- Review pricing risk tied to supplier quote expiration, award timing, availability, and product lifecycle.
- Confirm final customer-facing quote validity periods, assumptions, exclusions, delivery terms, and pricing caveats.
- Ensure the final quote includes required customer, contract, and supplier documentation.
- Prepare and submit the approved quote to the customer, prime contractor, contracting office, or designated contract-vehicle portal.
- Maintain the official final pricing and sourcing record.
- Transition the awarded commercial package to Order Fulfillment.
