Job Summary

Within our Warehouse we are looking for experienced 'plate' builders, also known as senior Freightbuilders. Here it is the turn of the specialists and you will operate at a higher level than our regular Warehouse employee. You are experienced, this is your next step to either continue to grow or apply your current experience from the outside.

Your activities

• Building air freight in various contours for different aircraft types (B747F / B777F / A330F / A300F / B737F) in accordance with Airport Handling Manual;
• Recognizing all common ULD types;
• Extensive experience (at least 7.5 to 10 years of experience in building air freight on aircraft plates);
• Point of contact/supervisor/training future builders;
• Able to build a minimum of 20-25 maindeck plates per shift;
• Building exceptional freight (outsized/centerload, overhang, indent);
• Ensuring the correct documentation (construction data, ULD, TAG);
• Consult with Operations and Cargo Office regarding cut-off times and/or the construction process;
• Recognizing and identifying dangerous goods, taking into account their structure;
• Use of Hand Held Terminals.

Your profile

• 7 to 10 years of experience in building aircraft plates within Swissport or at another Cargo handler;
• Experience in using forklift trucks 2.5/5/8/16 tons;
• Knowledge of Dutch language, spoken and written;
• Global knowledge of the English language;
• Able to perform physically demanding work safely;
• Willing to work irregular shifts (day/evening/night/weekend).
