Responsibilities

CHPP Int Med Hampton Bays-P

Part-Time: 3 days per week (includes Saturday rotation)

Essential Primary Care Physician PracticeTwo Locations to be covered:145 W Montauk Hwy, Hampton Bays and East Hampton, NY Dr. Meciko Muharemovic, MD is an internist in Hampton Bays, NY and has over 35 years of experience in the medical fieldHe graduated from UNIVERSITY OF SARAJEVO / MEDICAL FACULTYThe Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is an integral part of the delivery of health care and provides for primary care in many ambulatory settings through the CHS Physician Enterprise.  The APP provides patient care under the supervision of a qualified physician and is credentialed through the Medical Staff process.

 

 DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Participates in and provides clinical care to patients through interview and observation, evaluation and assessment, intervention, planning and written documentation during their visit at the Infusion Center.
• Takes initial patient histories and performs physical examinations.
• Initiates, documents, and communicates the plan of care and follows up to ensure complete screening and preparation of patients.
• Performs daily patient rounds.
• Writes orders for medications, laboratory work, and diagnostic tests.
• Interprets laboratory and test results.
• Confers with attending physicians, residents, nursing staff, and/or other care providers to ensure optimum quality of patient care.

Requirements:

• PA - Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program, minimum Bachelor’s degree required
• NP - Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, current RN license and current AANP or ANCC certification

 

Experience

• Minimum of two years of experience as an APP in a physician practice or ambulatory environment preferred. Oncology/Hematology highly preferred.  

Certification:

• Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner certification (AANP or ANCC certification)

• BLS/ACLS/AED training required and accepted from only from 1 organization:
• American Heart Association - BLS/ACLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) Program
• No online programs from any organization will be accepted.

DEA registration is required for those with discharge responsibilities

 

Pay Range

USD $66.55 - USD $90.00 /Hr.
