Department: Maintenance
Employment Type: Seasonal - Full Time
Location: Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge
Description
We’re seeking a motivated team member to support our “Sustain Alaska and the Yukon” (SAY) program by collecting and sorting waste and recyclables across operations and venues. This role includes entry-level maintenance tasks, assisting with repairs, performing inspections, and maintaining accurate records—all contributing to our commitment to sustainability and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Supports the HAP “Sustain Alaska and the Yukon” (SAY) program and goals
- Routinely collects waste materials and recyclables from operations, venues, and work areas.
- Sorts and prepares recyclables for transport.
- Performs a variety of entry-level maintenance tasks.
- Routinely performs maintenance and maintenance inspections.
- Assists with scheduled and unscheduled repairs.
- Maintains records.
Requirements
- Must have a current, valid U.S. Drivers License and be able to operate a motor vehicle.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and will be a part of our random drug testing program.
- Minimum age of 18 years required to reside in company housing, where available.
- Dedicated to delivering excellent customer service to all guests, coworkers, and vendors.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).
- Ability to organize and prioritize work, maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
- Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
- Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for minimum of 8 hours per day.
