JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The School of Business Administration at Penn State Harrisburg is seeking a part-time Instructor to teach one to three courses in Finance/Economics for the Fall 2026 Semester as well as other future semesters.
Job Duties
- Part-time instructors typically plan and teach one to three courses per semester on campus related to undergraduate or graduate Economics and Finance.
- Successful candidates must be able to work effectively with diverse populations and audiences.
- Follow best practices for teaching.
- Work effectively with diverse populations and audiences.
- Hold at least one office hour per three credits taught.
- Grade student work.
- Submit student progress reports throughout the semester.
- Response to administration and student emails.
- Effectively use the Penn State learning management system (Canvas).
Requirements and Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Earned Masters Degree in Economics, Master's in Finance, or a closely related field for undergraduate courses, or a PhD in Economics or Finance for graduate courses, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
PhD in Economics or Finance.
College-level teaching experience is strongly preferred.
