  • Work environment: ability to work in industrial facilities, including locations with rough terrain, moving machinery, and other typical conditions. Candidates must be able to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

About you – required core competencies

  • Education: two-year technical certificate or equivalent experience/coursework directly related to electrical design.

  • Software: experience with current versions of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software.

  • Driver’s license: possession of a current, valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship by Barr, now or in the future.

Helpful additional experience (not required)

  • 1–3 years of experience working in a design capacity on projects directly related to the job responsibilities described above at a consulting engineering or industrial organization.

  • Experience with power system modeling software such as SKM.

  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or Autodesk Revit.

Compensation: anticipated range of $23.00–$27.00/hour. Compensation will vary based on relevant experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
