Functional (job responsibilities)
- Develop regional wealth business strategic plan, lead and ensure effective execution of all Branch Wealth Distribution (BWD) business initiatives;
- To build capacity of Wealth front-liners (e.g. Personal Bankers) in Branch Banking Distribution and elevate wealth competencies of the teams.
- Drive and embed strong performance culture through inspiring, motivating and rigorous sales management disciplines;
- Drive and create a strong culture of teamwork and enhance working relationship with all stakeholders;
- Ensure all regulatory (AML, SC Guidelines) and sales/general compliance (FNSL) are tightly guarded.
Managerial (team/group responsibilities)
- Recruit and hire the right people to build a team of competent Personal Bankers to grow the wealth management business in the distribution.
- Coach and provide required training and development to the wealth front liners of Branch Distribution (e.g. Branch Managers and Personal Bankers) to ensure they are competent to carry out their jobs in achieving the business objectives while delivering distinguished customer experience.
Organizational (organizational responsibilities) including Strategic Cost Management and Financial Goals
- Actively engage with Regional Community General Managers (RCGMs) to ensure the alignment of organizational strategy with operations, fostering a positive corporate culture and driving towards HLB’s goals.
- Collaborate strategically with internal and external key stakeholders to ensure strategic alliances are built to solicit for new client acquisition, client servicing or marketing opportunities in Wealth Management for Branch Banking Distribution.
- Work with Specialist teams (Investment, Bancassurance & Products) to review and enhance wealth competencies of to the wealth front-liners of Branch Distribution.
- Responsible for Region’s audit and compliance related to Wealth Management business, in line with the Bank’s internal policy, standard and procedures and other regulatory requirements.
Education/Qualification
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting/Banking/Investment/Finance or a related field from any recognized university;
- Possess relevant certification and licenses in Investment, Treasury and Bancassurance
- FIMM
- IPPC
- PCEIA – LIFE
- CEILLI
- TAKAFUL
- CFP (if applicable)
Experience
- At least 10 years of relevant banking and wealth management experience;
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in managing sales in Wealth Management businesses.
- Proven track record of accomplishment in the Wealth Management businesses.

- Leadership skills - able to lead a large diverse team, and foster strong teamwork within
- Able to make independent decisions with minimal supervision;
