We are currently seeking an Assistant Superintendent in either Atlanta, West Point, Charlotte, Jacksonville, Orlando, or Tampa to join our Batson-Cook family. Whatever office you work out of is where you will be assigned projects. No travel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Inspection of Contractor or (sub)Contract operations to ensure compliance with Contract
- Prepare and submit Superintendents Daily Reports
- Demonstrate commitment to an Injury-Free Environment through own actions and mentoring others
- Develop and maintain logistics plan, in coordination with Project Superintendent and Project Manager
- Monitor costs, including labor time and material
- Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of field labor force
- Attend and participate in project meetings, including subcontractor meetings
- Conduct quality inspections
- Maintain good relationships with internal and external clients, including representatives of Owner and Architect/Engineer
- Manage schedules, including preparation of detailed short-term schedules and ensuring all activities take place on or ahead of scheduled dates
- Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts
- Review and approve Trade Contractor Payment Applications with Project Superintendent and Project Manager
- Must be willing to travel
- Communicate with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g. customers, suppliers, employees). Maintain relationship to ensure needs are met and problems/conflicts are resolved.
- Communicates and reinforces the Company vision, mission and values
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university and 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
