Key Responsibilities:
● Analyze complex business problems using advanced analytical and statistical techniques.
● Translate business requirements into actionable insights by leveraging Python, SQL, and Excel.
● Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports to support data-driven decision-making.
● Drive product understanding and strategy through data-driven insights.
● Apply a hacking mindset to quickly identify and implement effective solutions.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define key performance indicators and track business performance.
Skills & Competencies:
● Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Python, SQL, and advanced Excel.
● Mathematical Aptitude: Excellent quantitative and statistical analysis skills - logistic regression, decision trees, random forests, etc.
● Problem-Solving: Ability to approach business problems with structured thinking and analytical rigor.
● Product Understanding: Strong grasp of product development and business impact assessment.
● Entrepreneurial Mindset: Demonstrated ability to own and execute initiatives independently.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree from a Tier-1 engineering college (IIT, NIT, BITS, etc.) or an undergraduate degree in Statistics/Mathematics from premier institutes like ISI/CMI.
● Postgraduate degree in Statistics/Business Analytics or similar programs from top universities (IIT, Delhi University, Jadavpur University) – preferred but not mandatory.
● MBA degree focused on business analytics from tier-I and tier-II B-schools – preferred but not mandatory.
Background:
● Experience with leading analytics or consulting firms.
● Previous roles in startups (Series A/B funded) where data-driven business impact was demonstrated.
