Job Description
Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated part-time Customer Service Representative to join our team. The position requires the person to:
- Communicate and work with customers and associates at all levels
- Learn how to and then:
- assist with reviewing and answering basic inquiries from customers
- make computer inquiries and entries relating to customer accounts
- communicate with customers and others as needed to research problems and find solutions
- collect pertinent information from customers to handle inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prioritize and organize work to ensure it is completed in a timely manner
- Document customer requests and Learn how to and then assist agents with basic tasks
- Work with confidential and/or sensitive information, data, and matters in accordance with Company standards
- Maintain punctual attendance according to an assigned work schedule at a Company approved work location
- Assist with other duties as assigned within the department or elsewhere upon request
Desired Skills & Experience
- High school diploma or its equivalent is required
- Direct insurance agency/company experience is a plus
- Must type a minimum of 40 words per minute with 85% accuracy
- Flexibility for occasional and/or seasonal overtime
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple assignments
