*Summary:
A Lineman is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground electrical power lines, transformers, and related equipment, ensuring safe and reliable electricity distribution by climbing poles, operating bucket trucks, and responding to service outages in a timely manner.
*Key Responsibilities:
Installation and Maintenance:
Install, replace, and maintain electrical power lines, poles, transformers, and other related equipment.
Climb utility poles and towers using climbing gear to access lines and equipment.
Operate bucket trucks to reach elevated work areas and install or repair lines.
Dig trenches and install underground electrical cables.
Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards and repair issues.
Emergency Response:
Respond to service outages and emergencies, including downed power lines, to restore electricity quickly and safely.
Troubleshoot electrical faults and identify the cause of outages.
Perform necessary repairs to damaged lines and equipment in emergency situations.
Safety Compliance:
