Work Period: July 2026 to December 2026

Location & Schedule: This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position with 5 days per week onsite in Needham, MA.  There is no relocation or housing assistance for this position.

This role: In this role, you’ll support the development and execution of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives across our facilities. You’ll gain hands-on experience conducting safety inspections, supporting risk assessments, contributing to compliance efforts, and helping to implement safety programs that protect our people and our workplace. This is an exciting opportunity for students in Safety Management, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related fields to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world, innovation-driven environment. 

 Here are some of the EXCITING things you’ll get to do:

  • Assist in developing and implementing safety programs, policies, and procedures that help protect our people and workplace
  • Participate in workplace inspections and safety audits to identify potential risks and recommend actionable solutions
  • Support the planning and delivery of safety training sessions to drive awareness and empower teams to take ownership of their safety
  • Conduct research on industry best practices and regulatory standards to help strengthen our compliance and EHS strategy
  • Maintain accurate safety records and documentation to ensure compliance with OSHA and internal protocols
  • Assist in incident investigations and near-miss reporting, contributing to detailed reports and corrective action plans
  • Collaborate across departments to build a proactive, people-first safety culture
  • Participate in safety meetings, offering fresh ideas and perspectives to continuously improve our practices
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the EHS team on key projects and daily initiatives

 ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS:

  • Education: Must be currently enrolled in an associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral program, or have graduated within the past year
  • Must be able to work a full-time, 40-hour-per-week schedule with 5 days per week onsite in Needham, MA
  • Passionate about building safe, healthy, and compliant work environments
  • Strong understanding of core EHS principles and familiarity with safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident sharing insights and contributing in team settings
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a proactive mindset for identifying and solving problems
  • Comfortable working independently while thriving in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); bonus if you’ve worked with data visualization tools
  • Familiar with risk assessment methodologies and eager to learn how they apply in a real-world setting
  • Curious and quick to learn about industrial processes and workplace safety protocols
  • Experience with safety-focused coursework, labs, or previous internships is a plus
  • Brings a positive, team-first attitude with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through

Salary and Other Compensation: The hourly salary range for this position is displayed below. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. 

The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical insurance, health savings account (HSA) with company contribution, sick time, company holidays, employee product discount, product testing opportunities, referral bonuses, and more. 

Hourly Pay Range
$26$36 USD
