The successful candidate will be a highly skilled and specialized physician responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management of musculoskeletal disorders and injuries. This position offers the opportunity to provide exemplary, compassionate care within the Florida Atlantic Medical Group with a strong emphasis on serving our broad-based patient populations and actively engaging in teaching, mentorship, and scholarly activities within a thriving community-based medical school setting.

The mission of the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine is to advance the health and well-being of our community through educating and training the next generation of physicians - medical students, residents, and fellows - who will thrive as lifelong learners and compassionate, skilled practitioners. Our programs are built on a foundation of evidence-based, patient-centered care and are enriched by a culture of innovation, mentorship, and scholarly growth. Faculty at the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine benefit from close collaboration across medical specialties and strong partnerships with both community-based and academic healthcare providers, creating a dynamic environment to advance excellence in education, clinical care, and research. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and coordinated care.
  • Participate in hospital and community-based outreach programs to expand access to orthopedic and musculoskeletal care.

Research & Scholarship

  • Engage in clinical research, quality improvement, or public health initiatives related to orthopedic surgery.
  • Share scholarly efforts through conference presentations and peer-reviewed publications.

Service & Community Engagement

  • Serve on departmental, college, and university committees.
  • Collaborate with local agencies and community organizations to improve orthopedic healthcare delivery and outcomes.
  • Contribute to institutional initiatives aimed at advancing clinical care and community education.

  • As this is a primarily clinical position, teaching and mentorship are not requirements of the position at this time, however, there may be future opportunities to:
    • provide high-quality teaching to medical students, residents, and fellows in clinical and didactic settings.
    • mentor learners in patient care, clinical reasoning, research methodology, and professional development.
    • contribute to curriculum development with emphasis on evidence-based practice and orthopedic healthcare.

Minimum Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution and credentials that merit appointment at the rank of assistant professor or higher required.
• A Florida medical license, or the ability to obtain one, and ABMS Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery required.
• Demonstrated commitment to academic teaching, scholarship, and community engagement.
