Telecommunications Director

Key responsibilities may include:

Strategic Planning:

*Developing and executing a comprehensive telecommunications strategy aligned with business goals.

*Analyzing current network infrastructure and identifying areas for improvement.

Forecasting future technology needs and planning for upgrades or expansions.

Network Management:

Overseeing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of telecommunications systems like PBX, VoIP, data networks, and fiber optic infrastructure.

Monitoring network performance, identifying bottlenecks, and troubleshooting issues.

Implementing security protocols to protect network data.

Vendor Management:

Selecting and managing telecommunications service providers and vendors.

Negotiating contracts and service level agreements.

Monitoring vendor performance and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations

Budgeting and Cost Control:

Developing and managing the telecommunications budget.

Analyzing cost-saving opportunities and implementing cost-effective solutions.

Team Leadership:

Leading and mentoring a team of telecommunications engineers and technicians.

Assigning tasks, setting performance expectations, and providing ongoing training.

Compliance and Regulations:

Ensuring adherence to all relevant telecommunications regulations and industry standards.

Staying informed about regulatory changes and implementing necessary updates.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Strong understanding of telecommunications technologies including VoIP, fiber optics, network protocols, and data center infrastructure

Proven experience in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting
