Description
Lead a team of Global Commodity Managers (GCMs) and partner closely with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Finance to enable successful product ramps and long-term scalability. Own the global sourcing strategy for Optics across all programs and product lifecycles, including multi-year roadmaps, supplier diversification, and second-source risk mitigation. Partner with suppliers to accelerate capacity ramps and site bring-ups for new product launches, while proactively managing supply, geopolitical, and operational risks and leading escalation and recovery efforts. Work in close partnership with Engineering, Quality, and Operations on supplier selection, build trade-offs, PCN approvals, demand planning, and inventory and cost alignment. Own category cost targets and cost-reduction initiatives, evaluate supplier investments and NRE with a focus on financial returns, and drive rigor in forecasts, commitments, and liabilities. Lead strategic and executive-level supplier relationships, negotiating commercial terms, capacity commitments, and investment models while managing performance across cost, quality, delivery, and technology readiness. Build and lead a high-performing strategic sourcing team by setting clear goals, developing talent, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.
