SUMMARY
The Quality Assurance Intern will support the Quality Assurance (QA) department in executing critical quality and compliance initiatives.This Intern will provide dedicated support for high-priority projects, including the Archive Digitization Project and Change Control Remediation Efforts, while offering a valuable professional development opportunity for a student or early-career professional interested in Quality Systems, Regulatory Compliance, and Clinical Laboratory Operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Transition historical quality records and archived documentation from paper-based storage to an organized, searchable electronic archive.
- Inventory archived records and documentation.
- Organize and categorize files according to retention schedules and document classifications.
- Scan records and archived documents.
- Verify image quality and document completeness.
- Perform metadata entry and file indexing.
- Assist with electronic file naming and folder structure standardization.
- Conduct quality checks on digitized records.
- Support tracking and reconciliation of archived materials.
- Assist in preparing records for long-term electronic storage.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Student Enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s degree

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sedentary - Sedentary roles are primarily office-based and require prolonged sitting (67–100% of the workday) with minimal physical effort and lifting limited to under 10 lbs. Fine motor skills are necessary for computer work, writing, and telephone use, supported by clear visual and auditory ability. Cognitive and emotional demands are high due to extended concentration, frequent interruptions, independent decision-making, and information processing. Although physical exposure is low, administrative areas within healthcare environments may occasionally involve contact with infectious agents. Some roles may require flexible hours, TB screening, or a valid driver’s license.For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements.
