About the Role:
Grade Level (for internal use):
12The Team
S&P Global Market Intelligence's Markets segment delivers industry-leading enterprise software, SaaS solutions, data, and services that power clients' investment management workflows — spanning enterprise data management, loans software, and Private Markets solutions.
At the heart of this is iLEVEL, S&P Global's end-to-end Private Markets solutions suite — trusted by GPs, LPs, and leading asset managers worldwide. Our commercial team defines and drives strategy and go-to-market execution across the entire iLEVEL portfolio. We are a collaborative, intellectually curious group that operates at the intersection of technology, data, and private capital markets — fast-paced by nature, and deeply committed to shaping the future of private markets intelligence.
Responsibilities and Impact
As Associate Director, Business Strategy, you will sit at the crossroads of client insight, commercial execution, and product evolution — playing a defining role in how iLEVEL grows and differentiates in the Private Markets landscape. Your impact will be felt across the organisation:
- Shape product direction — Synthesise client and stakeholder feedback into actionable roadmap recommendations for iLEVEL, Managed Data Services, and emerging market offerings.
- Drive data strategy — Partner with commercial and data teams across S&P Global to evolve the iLEVEL data model and contribute to firm-wide initiatives that serve stakeholder businesses.
- Define strategic partnerships — Work with external partners to establish integration and referral frameworks that unlock shared value for clients and the business.
- Accelerate Private Markets sales — Serve as a trusted subject matter expert supporting sales opportunities across Private Equity, Private Credit, Real Assets, and Non-Correlated asset managers.
- Represent iLEVEL externally — Build S&P Global's profile and influence in the Private Markets ecosystem at client meetings and major industry events.
- Lead high-visibility initiatives — Drive programmes focused on elevating client experience on and off-platform, and promoting product continuity across S&P Global's data and platform ecosystem — with direct exposure to senior leadership.
What We're Looking For

- Demonstrated expertise in Private Markets, with direct exposure to General Partners (GPs) across Private Equity, Private Credit, or Real Assets
- Proven track record in market analysis, strategy definition, and go-to-market execution, with measurable commercial outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional teams across global organisations to achieve shared commercial goals
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, with experience engaging senior internal and external stakeholder groups
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a client-side user of enterprise financial data or investment management platforms (e.g., S&P Global Market Intelligence or comparable solutions)
- Experience authoring thought leadership content for Private Markets or alternative investment audiences
- Experience defining requirements for strategic partnerships, integrations, or referral arrangements with external organisations
- Track record of representing a business at industry events or client-facing forums within the Private Markets space
- Demonstrated ability to navigate and influence within large, complex, matrixed global organisations
