DTECH

The DTECH team works across the entire chip-design lifecycle. We partner closely with design, CAD, foundry, and test teams to optimize every aspect of a chip—including power, performance, area, yield, timing, thermal behavior, and silicon reliability.

DTECH engineers contribute across a broad range of technical areas, including:

• Design technology co-optimization (DTCO)

• Timing and power signoff

• Low-power design

• Physical design

• Thermal analysis

• Post-silicon analysis and debug

• Technology enablement

• Design automation

Our team brings together expertise in semiconductor technology, circuits, RTL, physical design, and software. Together, we create the methodologies and tools that enable the next generation of Qualcomm products.

GCAD (Global CAD)

The Global CAD team develops and enables the design flows used to create Qualcomm’s most advanced SoCs. Our work spans the complete digital and custom design lifecycle, including:

• Design verification

• RTL Design Integration

• DFT insertion and ATPG

• Floorplanning

• Formal verification

• Synthesis, Place and route

• Signoff timing, power delivery network (PDN), and physical verification (PV)

• Custom analog and RF design flows

GCAD engineers work closely with Snapdragon design teams and leading EDA companies to deliver the best possible power, performance, area, and turnaround time for GPU, CPU, multimedia, DDR, and DSP subsystems.

We also develop software products that extend and enhance commercial EDA solutions. These innovations use agentic technologies, machine learning, constraint programming, and automation to make chip design faster, smarter, and more efficient.

TECHIP (Technology Intellectual Property)

The Technology Intellectual Property team develops the differentiated library cells and macros that power Snapdragon products. Our portfolio ranges from standard cells and memories optimized for performance, power, and area to advanced building blocks such as FIFOs, register arrays, and clocking structures.

TechIP engineers work across the full development cycle—from custom circuit design to the automation and generation of design views. We continuously innovate to create new cells and macros that improve Snapdragon SoC performance, efficiency, and scalability.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field.
