We are seeking a motivated and experienced professional to join our CERS Training. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in processing disability claims, a passion for helping others learn and grow, and experience in training, teaching, coaching, or facilitating learning programs.


This is an in-office position. Daily, in-office attendance is expected to support hands-on training, collaboration, and Colleague development.


Job Description:

  • Create and maintain training materials for operational systems and processes.
  • Responsible for developing, coordinating and facilitating trainings and trainer support, as well as curriculum for CERS Colleague onboarding. May include job-specific tasks, which could include multiple systems, disability/medical claim processing, Customer communications via phone/email/chat, fraud, Flex/HRA/HSA processing/administration, individual billing, life, annuity processing, etc.
  • Audit, document and report audit performance metrics for CERS Colleagues and provide weekly assessment feedback to trainees and management to ensure performance requirements are attained.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; in lieu of Bachelor's degree, position requires 3-5 years experience for job-related tasks.
  • 5 years experience in organization/corporate environment, or 3 years in training and development, insurance, claims or related job.
  • Technical expert in assigned area of software used by operational area. May include Life, Claims, Billing, Annuities or Call Management.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent documentation, oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Expert knowledge of AFA products and services.
  • Ability to provide and receive feedback.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, as well as work independently.
