Have a psychology, social work or human services degree? Turn it into a career helping people.
If you've studied psychology, social work, human services or counseling, or worked as a mental health worker, behavioral health technician, community support worker, recovery coach, peer support specialist, residential counselor or direct support professional, you already have the heart for this work. This is your next step.
What's a care coordinator (case manager)? You help people living with mental health or substance use challenges build stable, healthy lives. You're part coach, part advocate and part problem-solver.
A typical week might include:
- Visiting clients at home, in the community and at our office. You won't be stuck at a desk.
- Helping a client find an apartment or keep their MaineCare benefits
- Going with a client to a doctor's appointment so they can speak up for what they need (mileage reimbursed)
- Building care plans together and connecting clients with health care, treatment and community resources
- Working alongside nurses, clinicians and fellow care coordinators
We're a learning agency, so you won't be expected to know it all.
- Paid training and weekly supervision from people invested in your success
- Free support earning your MHRT/C certification through the Muskie School at USM
- Paid agency days that bring the whole team together to learn, connect and recharge
- A real career path. Many of our care coordinators move into clinical and supervisory roles.
- A voice that counts. We put staff ideas into action, whatever your role, we listen and use your feedback to improve our care of systems.
What you get
- $22–$28/hr (base pay plus incentives for going above and beyond)
- FREE health insurance option, plus dental, vision, a 401(k) and disability coverage
- Flexible schedules (compressed or transitional hours) and generous PTO
- An all-expenses-paid Florida trip for our Employee of the Year
You qualify with one of these:
- An associates degree in social work/behavioral health.
- A bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, human services, sociology, counseling or a related field (new grads welcome!)
- A Maine license (LSW, LMSW, LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, LADC, RN, etc.)
