Description
Build something you can put your name on.
Blend Supply is a family-owned aerospace and industrial distributor, and we're small enough that your work gets noticed. We blend, color-match, kit, and ship coatings, sealants, and adhesives for aviation, military, and industrial customers who depend on getting the right product, on time, every time.
We're looking for a hands-on lead to run the floor at DC1. You'll lead a small team, work in every part of the operation, and help make the DC cleaner, faster, and more consistent.
Why Blend?
• Family-owned, people-first. You'll know leadership by name, and leadership will know you.
• A team that celebrates together. We hold company-wide events, a cornhole league, and an annual awards dinner that brings in our out-of-state teams.
• Benefits: Medical / dental / vision
• Modern tools, including AI: We are a step ahead of our competition!
• Benefits: Your ideas are heard and ownership is genuinely valued.
• Time off: Accrue up to 15 days of PTO each year and 10 paid holidays.
• Retirement: 401K
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. No nights, no weekends.
Lead the team
- Lead a DC1 team of 5–6 warehouse associates. Assign daily work, set priorities, and make sure the DC is covered during operating hours.
- Train new hires on Blend work instructions. Spot when retraining is needed, keep training records current, and work with Quality on them.
- Model safe work practices and keep the warehouse clean and organized using 5S.
Run the work, and do it yourself
- Receive product: verify against purchase orders (POs), check lot numbers, shelf life, and certifications, and put away accurately in P21.
- Operate a forklift to receive, put away, and move product safely.
- Pick, pack, and ship orders to Blend standards using FedEx Ship Manager and UPS WorldShip.
- Prepare, mark, label, and document hazardous materials shipments in line with Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements under 49 CFR (Code of Federal Regulations) and International Air Transport Association (IATA) requirements.
- Mix batches to manufacturer formulas and match colors using our color match system, spray-outs, and quality control (QC) checks.
- Build kits to customer and work instruction requirements.
- Process returns and Return Material Authorizations (RMAs).
- Know every task in the DC well enough to step in anywhere.
Inventory
- Run cycle counts and keep inventory accuracy at or above 99%.
- Control lots and shelf life: rotate stock first-expired, first-out, and segregate expired or nonconforming material.
- Work with Purchasing and the Regional Operations & QA Manager on stock levels and slotting.
Quality and communication
- Follow AS9100D work instructions and keep the required records accurate and complete.
- Report quality issues, nonconforming product, and safety concerns to Quality Assurance right away.
- Support the sales team through Slack with stock checks, order status, and shipping questions.
- Recommend process improvements and help put approved changes in place.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What You Bring

- Accurate color perception for matching coatings. Candidates will take a color vision screening.
- Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook. You should be comfortable learning an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
- Strong attention to detail. In this business, the wrong lot, label, or color is a customer problem.
- Clear communication and a customer-first mindset.
- Must be able to obtain DOT hazmat certification (and IATA if you ship by air) within 90 days of hire. Blend provides the training.
- Must complete forklift training and a performance evaluation before operating a forklift. Blend provides the training.
