Metsä Group is looking for a

LOGISTICS PLANNING MANAGER

to join our Logistics team in Espoo in a fixed-term position until autumn 2027.

What is the job that awaits you?

As a Logistics Planning Manager, you will play a key role in developing and operating Group-wide logistics planning practices across Metsä Group. You will transform business volume forecasts into logistics capacity needs and convert S&OP plans into supplier-specific delivery forecasts, ensuring transparency, accuracy and visibility throughout the logistics network.

In this role, you will work closely with business areas, logistics suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify bottlenecks, secure planning accuracy and support efficient, reliable and competitive logistics operations. You will lead logistics planning development initiatives, facilitate planning forums and represent Group Logistics in S&OP processes across the organisation.

You will also drive logistics planning projects, monitor capacity availability against forecasted volumes, and proactively address potential capacity shortages or other supply chain constraints.

What are we expecting of you?

To succeed in this role, you have a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain planning, including S&OP processes, capacity planning, supplier collaboration and logistics network management. You are comfortable working in a large matrix organisation and collaborating with stakeholders across different business areas.

You have strong analytical skills and can turn complex data into actionable insights. Experience in logistics planning, ERP environments, data flows, reporting tools, MS Office and Power BI is essential.

We value excellent communication and networking skills, a proactive and development-oriented mindset, and the ability to influence and drive change across organisational boundaries. Fluent written and spoken English is required, while knowledge of other Metsä Group languages is considered an advantage.
