About the Role
Join Toll Aviation as a Senior Quality & Safety Specialist – SPARAS (State Police, Ambulance and Rescue Aviation Services to the South Australian Government) and play a key role in supporting safe, compliant and effective rotary wing operations. Reporting to the Head of Quality and Safety – Toll Helicopters – Rotary Wing, you will contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of the Safety Management System (SMS) and integrated Quality Management System (QMS), while driving continuous improvement, operational excellence and a positive safety culture across the business.
A day in the life of a Quality & Safety Specialist at Toll Group
- Support the delivery of quality, safety and business improvement initiatives.
- Maintain and enhance the Safety Management System (SMS) and Quality Management System (QMS).
- Analyse safety and quality performance data, preparing reports and meeting packs.
- Conduct audits, investigations and risk assessments to support compliance and operational effectiveness.
- Facilitate Safety Action Group meetings and support quality and safety forums.
- Promote safety awareness, training and continuous improvement across the organisation.
Qualifications
- Qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in Aviation Safety Management, Quality Management, Risk Management, Assurance or a related discipline.
- Experience working within aviation Quality and Safety Management Systems.
- Knowledge of aviation regulatory requirements and industry best practice.
- Experience conducting audits, investigations and risk assessments, or willingness to complete gap training.
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated leadership capability, including leading teams and providing guidance to others.
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience using safety and quality management software, with Air Maestro highly regarded.
- Ability to work collaboratively across operational and corporate environments.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and fostering a positive safety culture.
- Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances.
