Job Description

The University of Nevada, School of Medicine is recruiting for a Program Coordinator. The Program Coordinator will support the implementation of a statewide gap analysis of Nevada's Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) investments, funded through the Nevada Health Authority (NVHA). The position will coordinate project activities, stakeholder engagement, reporting, and deliverable development to ensure the timely completion of a comprehensive assessment of Round 1 RHTP investments. Working closely with project leadership, the Data Coordinator, graduate assistants, NVHA, and rural healthcare stakeholders, the Program Coordinator will facilitate the collection and integration of qualitative information and support the identification of unmet healthcare needs across Nevada's rural and frontier communities. The position will oversee project timelines, coordinate communication among participating organizations, and ensure that project activities align with established objectives and funding requirements.


The Program Coordinator will also support the preparation of reports, presentations, and recommendations to inform future RHTP investments and long-term rural health transformation efforts. This position requires independent judgment, strong organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate complex activities involving multiple stakeholders and competing deadlines.


Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and two years of related work experience; OR a master’s degree and one year of related work experience

Related Experience: Experience in program coordination or program management; experience working with rural healthcare organizations, community engagement initiatives, or healthcare needs assessments.


Certification or licensures

Nevada driver’s license


Schedule and Travel

Ability to travel within Nevada as needed for stakeholder meetings and project

activities

Grants-in-aid for Faculty Employees
