ABOUT THE POSITION
The Columbia Digital Technology (CDT) team delivers and supports the technology platforms that power our global business. From supply chain and finance to retail and eCommerce, our SAP landscape plays a critical role in keeping the business running efficiently and effectively.
As a Principal SAP Basis Administrator, you’ll serve as a senior technical expert responsible for the administration, performance, stability, and ongoing health of Columbia’s SAP environment. This is a highly hands-on individual contributor role for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, supporting enterprise-scale systems, and working independently to keep critical business applications running at their best.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
- Administer and support a complex SAP landscape including SAP ECC, BW, S/4HANA, SAP HANA, SAP BTP, Fiori, GRC, BOE/Lumira, Data Services, Cloud Connector and related technologies.
- Perform SAP installations, upgrades, patching, system refreshes, migrations, and transport management activities.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and proactively address system health, availability, and security concerns.
- Manage SAP HANA database administration activities including backup and recovery, replication, upgrades, and performance tuning.
- Support hybrid SAP environments and integrations with cloud and third-party platforms.
- Partner with business and technology teams to deliver technical solutions and maintain reliable SAP services.
- Develop documentation, operational procedures, and automation opportunities that improve efficiency and scalability.
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance to global support resources when needed.

YOU HAVE
- 10+ years of SAP Basis Administration experience supporting enterprise SAP environments.
- Experience with SAP ECC, SAP HANA, S/4HANA, NetWeaver and Fiori.
- Strong experience performing SAP upgrades, installations, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Experience supporting SAP HANA databases, including backup/recovery and system administration activities.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows and SQL Server SAP environments.
- Experience with SAP BTP administration, identity management, and integration technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- S/4HANA migration or implementation experience.
- Experience with RISE with SAP or S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition.
- Experience with SAP Cloud ALM, Active Control, and cloud-based SAP environments.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence.
