Description
The Parks Division is looking to fill multiple Winter Attendant positions. The successful candidate for the position will use independent judgement to apply established policies and procedures to perform a variety of tasks. Including, but not limited to customer service, handling cash, operating a cash register, using a point-of-sale system (POS), cleaning rented equipment, keeping the facility clean, and opening and closing the facility. Work is performed under the supervision of the Recreation Services Coordinator, Aquatic and Parks Program Coordinator, and the Event Services Assistant.
HOURS: Approximately 0-30 hours per week, including weekdays, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Hours are intermittent and will vary based on the weather, outdoor conditions, availability, and how busy each location is.
Hours of operation:
Wednesday – Friday: 4:00pm – 8:00pm
Saturday: 12:00pm – 8:00pm
Sunday: 12:00pm – 6:00pm

Candidates who are age 14 years of age may apply, but will not be scheduled for work before reaching 15 years old. Must be 15 years old on or before January 31, 2027.

- Explain and enforce policies and procedures.
- Provide customer service and interact with the public.
- Maintain cleanliness of facilities and equipment.
- Answer phones and respond to patron questions.
- Operate a POS system and handle cash.
- Complete daily paperwork.
- Stock and sell prepackaged concession items.
- Maintain inventory.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Must be 15 years of age or older on or before first scheduled work shift.
- Winter Attendants who are at least 18 years of age and who possess a valid driver's license may operate City vehicles as part of their job duties. Attendants who are under age 18 or who do not possess a valid driver's license are prohibited from operating City vehicles. Vehicle operation is not a mandatory duty of the Attendant classification.
Employees may be expected to stand for long periods of time.
