Creative Composites Group – Composite Advantage – Dayton, Ohio
A Production Specialist is considered the technical specialist or subject matter expert for a production process (molding, kitting, finishing, welding, assembly). Or may have broad experience with multiple production processes and is capable of rotating to various departments to perform work. Under the supervision of a Team Lead and Production Manager, will execute, provide oversight, and progress reports on work to meet production goals.
Essential Functions
- Acts as technical specialist and performs complex composite manufacturing tasks to meet production goals in compliance with company procedures.
- May rotate and perform work in multiple departments; or rotate and perform tasks within a department to meet production schedule.
- Responsible for executing Lean Manufacturing techniques and implements improvements identified in 6S audits
- Maintains quality by adhering to organizational standards
- Interprets work orders, prints & tolerances. Understands departmental workflows and may have broad knowledge of inter-dependencies of departments.
- Interprets and adheres to production schedule, performs tasks to meet production goals. Provides progress reports to supervisor and troubleshoots issues to ensure deadlines are met.
- Collaborates with production staff; builds and maintains a respectful and productive team environment
- May travel up to 50% of the time for product installation, may vary.
- Ability to work efficiently to install products properly and ability to perform tasks in a timely manner.
- Ability to work with little supervision.
- Must be able to get clearance to military bases.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or fiberglass and airborne particles, forklift movements and overhead crane usage. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
This position may require you to conduct product installations at different locations. Outside of installations, this position will be required to work on manufacturing floor.

This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
This position may require long hours in many different weather conditions.
Travel
Traveling up to 50% of the time.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of additional work experience that can be demonstrated to be applicable to the duties listed on the job description
- Experience working with telehandlers and boom lifts.
- Knowledge of organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures
- Knowledge of applicable legislation, standards, policies and procedures within specialty area
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
- Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures
- Ability to train employees including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
