Description
Our client, a highly reputable enterprise organization, is growing its operations project management team. This Project Manager will lead technology, process improvement, and change initiatives for groups across various teams and departments, working closely with executive sponsors and business teams.
This role is a great fit for a seasoned project manager with strong traditional PM skills who can bring structure to ambiguity and influence stakeholders at every level, from project teams up to senior leadership.
Work arrangement: Primarily remote, with availability to go onsite for required meetings.
Hourly rate: $42-44/hour
6 Month Contract-to-Hire (intended to convert to a permanent role)
- Own projects from start to finish: build the charter, set scope, timelines, milestones, and how success will be measured.
- Lead data modernization and other technology projects alongside technical teams, working within the SDLC and tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Drive process improvement work: map how things run today, design how they should run, and review the analysis done by business analysts.
- Keep executive sponsors informed and aligned with clear status updates, recommendations, and the information they need to make decisions.
- Help people through change by explaining the why behind each project, easing resistance, and supporting adoption.
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and vendors across several projects and workstreams at once.
- 5+ years of project management experience leading complex, cross-functional projects.
- A strong traditional project management foundation (waterfall), plus experience with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery.
- Proven ability to influence executives and stakeholder groups without direct authority.
- Excellent written and verbal communication. Comfortable presenting to and guiding senior leaders.
- Hands-on experience with change management and process improvement.
- A background managing technology projects, with working knowledge of the SDLC and tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Comfort with ambiguity. You can bring structure to unclear requests and balance multiple priorities on your own.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Based in the Phoenix metro area and able to come onsite when projects call for it.
- 'PMP certification.
- Business analytics experience.
- Experience with AI-related projects.
