Production Supervisor
Summary of responsibilities:
This person is responsible for the day-to-day operations pertaining to all product we receive. Included but not limited to overseeing initial vehicle verification during the receiving and check in process, production steps scheduling, merchandising inventory and placement, overseeing process for transportation and vehicle receiving and deliver processing. You are always responsible for setting a good example for NPA and its employees. You are responsible for doing this safely and responsibly. You will portray a positive image and always act respectfully to others.
Basic Employee responsibilities:
- Arrive to work on time per your required work schedule.
· Always be courteous and respectful to fellow employees and customers.
· Company equipment must be used for company purposes only.
· Company vehicles must be operated safely and within their intended purpose.
· Dress appropriately to your job duties and within the parameters of our current employee manual, (No open toed shoes in warehouse)
· Always pick up after yourself
· Keep your work area neat and clean.
· Always ask questions if you are unsure.
· Always check in and out with your direct supervisors at the beginning and end of your daily shift
Job specific responsibilities:
- Oversees and verifies Operational procedures are being applied and followed.
- Oversees the loading and unloading of units and works with competency of employees to follow company processes safely and properly.
- Oversees and works with condition report writers and oversees decisions for processes.
- Oversees and communicates process expectations with team and GM
- Communicates and identifies discrepancies in our operating processes to GM and AGM and assists in making the necessary improvements and adjustments.
- Oversees the processes for unit placement for auctions and auction preparedness.
- Responsible or oversees the scanning and numbering process for auction set up.
- Responsible for keeping track of company equipment and necessary maintenance.
- Verifies units for auction pertaining to Year, Make, Model, Mileage, VIN, and Companion information.
- Encourages and enforces safety policies.
- Participates in weekly Operations management meetings as needed.
- Leads daily RVM Operational production meetings.
Daily
- Run daily production reports for all inventory
- Daily inbound and outbound unit info. Confirm any safety, unloading requirements.
- Daily detailing and CR production, set a daily goal
- Review all units in Recon for status updates, delayed Recon
- Morning meetings
- Set daily production expectations, including inbound units, outbound schedules, CR and Recon
- Walk through each unit to ensure what needs to be done and the team has all the supplies they need to make it happen.
- Make sure vehicles are being numbered as soon as they are completed
- Each unit needs to be walked and verified before numbering that unit is ready
- Confirm optimized line up – (confirm with GM)
- Check email and ensure all issues are addressed. This should be a constant all day everyday item. Recommend you set aside time 3 times per day.
- Please acknowledge each request, even if it cannot be completed when requested.
- Make regular passes through all stations and ensure everyone is on task and confirm if they have any questions.
- If you identify an area that’s falling behind or we have a choke point, find a solution, jump in, and help if needed.
- QC all product daily
- Send daily production reports to GM
Auction Week
- Throughout the day, check in and make sure each area is on task and on time
- QC vehicles daily
- Engine hours, Book Value, Model info, CR images and details
- Auction verification, Book Values and model
- Confirm all units are labeled throughout the week
Preview Day and Auction Day
- Make sure all catalogs are printed and available
- Confirm the units are open, clean and accessible
- Be an advocate for NPA, its Clients and ask the dealers how we are doing and what we can do better
