We shape the assembly and integration technologies for the entire ZEISS product portfolio, where highly sophisticated optical components are transformed into reliable, state-of-the-art systems for semiconductor manufacturing. In this role, you will work closely with interdisciplinary teams from design, engineering, equipment development, software, metrology, and manufacturing. You will contribute to the development of innovative process technologies, establish robust integration concepts, and drive data-driven process optimization across multiple product generations. Working at the interface between Engineering and Operations, you will help transfer new technologies into manufacturing while continuously expanding process understanding through experiments, statistical analysis, and modern data analytics approaches.

Your Role

• Develop and advance assembly, integration, and process technologies for opto-mechanical components, assemblies, and modules across current and future product generations

• Analyze, model, and optimize manufacturing and integration processes using statistical methods, data analytics, and machine learning approaches to improve process understanding, capability, and robustness

• Define and align technical requirements and drive the development, validation, and industrialization of process solutions in close collaboration with interdisciplinary stakeholders, suppliers, and external partners

• Contribute to the establishment of process standards, best practices, and technology roadmaps to enable sustainable manufacturing excellence

Your Profile

• Successfully completed degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline; preferably with a PhD or equivalent professional experience

• Strong knowledge of assembly, integration, and manufacturing technologies as well as experience in process development and industrialization

• Experience in data-driven process analysis and statistical methods (e.g. Design of Experiments, Statistical Process Control, regression analysis, multivariate analysis, process capability analysis); experience with Python and industrial data analytics is desirable

• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking combined with excellent planning, communication, and stakeholder management skills

• High level of initiative, customer orientation, resilience, and a business-oriented mindset.

• Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
