Schloegel Design Remodel | Kansas City

Do you take pride in seeing a project through from start to finish?

At Schloegel Design Remodel, we aren't just looking for someone to "fix things." We're looking for a skilled craftsperson who lives for the details, thrives on problem-solving, and believes that if a job isn't done right the first time, it isn't done. If you're ready to bring your talents to a team that values your experience and treats you like family, we'd love to talk.

Why Schloegel (It's about more than just the work)

With over 45 years in business, we are a leader in Kansas City's remodeling industry. But we're most proud of being named a Best Place to Work by the Kansas City Business Journal. This award is based entirely on feedback from our team, and here's why they love it here:

Here's what that means for you:

• We Have Fun & Stay Optimistic

We take our work seriously, but we keep perspective. We celebrate wins, support each other through challenges, and create an environment where you actually enjoy showing up.

• We Are Engaged

You aren't just a number. Whether we're talking through a project or your own career goals, we stay connected. We value your ideas and are always looking for better, more innovative ways to build.

• Planned for Success: "Design Done Right" isn't just for our clients, it's how we run our business. Clear processes and strong communication keep projects organized and reduce chaos. You'll have the freedom to take ownership of your work without the stress of a disorganized job site.

Why You'll Love This Role

• Ownership from Start to Finish

This is hands-on, self-performed work. You aren't just checking off a punch list; you're shaping the final result and delivering the Ultimate Client Experience.

• Variety is the Standard

One day you're framing, the next you're setting tile or perfecting trim. You'll use your full range of skills on high-caliber, award-winning projects.

• Focus on the Craft

If you've run your own business, you know the headache of sales, marketing, and bookkeeping. We handle all of that. You get to focus on doing great work on site.

What You'll Do

• Perform hands-on work across multiple trades: framing, trim carpentry, drywall, tile, and light plumbing/electrical.
• Take ownership of project progress and ensure quality at every stage.
• Collaborate with your Production Manager to keep schedules on track.
• Communicate with clients and your team to keep projects running smoothly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site
• Document progress using Buildertrend (we'll provide the training).

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in residential remodeling
• Versatility: You're a "Swiss Army Knife" of trades, particularly skilled in rough and finish carpentry.
• Communication: You're comfortable talking to clients and teammates with clarity and respect.
• Ownership: You are organized, self-motivated, and take pride in doing things the right way the first time.

Benefits That Set Us Apart

• Starting Pay: $26.00 / Hour (based on experience)
• Company Vehicle
• Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance
• 401(k) with Company Match
• 7 Paid Holidays + Vacation (starting after 6 months)
• Tool & Travel Allowances
• Incentive Programs & potential company-wide bonuses
• Ongoing training and certifications to support your growth

Let's Build Something Great Together

If you take pride in your work and want to be part of a team that does things the right way, and enjoys doing it, we'd love to connect.
