Schedule & Availability
This position supports event parking operations, which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak event periods. Flexibility to work varying schedules based on event needs is required.
The Spirit of the Position
The Events Parking Security Guard is responsible for helping maintain a safe and secure environment across parking facilities, event venues, and surrounding operational areas. This role supports guests, team members, clients, and property by monitoring activity, enforcing facility rules, reporting incidents, and responding appropriately to potential security concerns.

What You'll Do
Security & Safety Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of parking lots, garages, entrances, exits, and event areas.
- Monitor guest and vehicle activity for suspicious behavior, safety hazards, and potential security concerns.
- Enforce facility rules, parking policies, and client requirements.
- Maintain awareness of emergency procedures and assist during incidents as directed.
- Prepare accurate and timely reports documenting incidents, accidents, and unusual activities.
- Provide visible security presence to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized activity.
- Report safety hazards and coordinate with management on corrective actions.
- Assist local law enforcement, emergency responders, and venue security personnel when necessary.
Customer Service
- Provide courteous assistance and directions to guests.
- Promote a safe, welcoming, and professional environment.
- Assist guests with general parking-related questions and concerns.
- De-escalate conflicts and address issues professionally whenever possible.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining safety and security standards.
Event Operations Support
- Support traffic flow and pedestrian safety throughout events.
- Coordinate with parking operations teams to maintain organized facility access.
- Monitor designated restricted areas and ensure authorized access only.
- Assist management with special assignments and event-specific operational needs.
- Support emergency management and evacuation procedures when required.
Administration & Compliance
- Complete incident, accident, and activity logs accurately and promptly.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and client expectations.
- Follow all safety procedures and security protocols.
- Maintain clear communication with supervisors and event management personnel.

Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to remain alert and observant for extended periods.
- Ability to write clear and accurate incident reports.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Ability to handle stressful situations professionally.
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
Preferred
- Security, law enforcement, military, parking, hospitality, or customer service experience.
- Current security guard license or certification, where required by state or local regulations.
- Experience working in large event venues, sports facilities, concert venues, or convention centers.
- CPR, First Aid, or emergency response certifications.

Physical Requirements
This role requires the ability to:
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, rain, wind, and snow.
- Stand and walk for extended periods throughout a shift.
- Patrol large parking facilities and event venues.
- Lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds.
- Bend, stoop, squat, and move frequently throughout a shift.
- Verbally communicate clearly in noisy event environments.
