Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Office Complex in Grand Rapids, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and adherence to Allied Universal driver policy requirements. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a financial institution location.
• Maintain an armed presence in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal policies; report unusual activity and potential threats to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergency situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, entry points, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and complete accurate incident reports and shift documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Military Service in an occupational speciality related to law enforcement such as military police, combat arms or special forces or
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience carrying a firearm as a law enforcement  officer, with zero disciplinary action for the misuse of firearms or use of force
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
