The hourly rate for this position is $29.60 per hour. The hours for this shift are 6:30 am - 2:30 pm.

## What you’ll do:
Eaton’s Power Reliability Division is currently seeking a Quality Technician to join our team. This position is based at our South Milwaukee, WI facility.
The Quality Technician initiates and tracks supplier corrective actions (DMRs/QNs) to resolution, conducts internal audits and process verification activities, and supports manufacturing operations in the implementation of Eaton Quality System (EQS) requirements and Lean Manufacturing practices. The role also assists in maintaining calibration programs and supports testing and quality data collection efforts to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
- Inspect finished goods to verify compliance with bills of material, engineering drawings, specifications, testing requirements, and customer-specific standards.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, including a working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Investigate nonconformances, product defects, and process scrap using structured problem-solving methodologies and tools such as 5 Why analysis.
- Perform incoming material inspections and initiate and follow up on supplier corrective actions through DMR and QN processes.
- Utilize precision measurement tools and equipment, including thread gages, micrometers, calipers, pin gages, optical comparators, and profilometers, while providing training and guidance to others on proper use.
- Participate in quality data collection, analysis, and reporting activities, including the processing of test data.
- Support production teams by addressing quality-related concerns, measurement challenges, and data collection needs.
- Train and coach operators on quality processes and best practices while demonstrating a positive attitude, commitment to quality, and a customer-focused mindset.
- Navigate and utilize SAP, Microsoft Office applications, Quality Management systems, ERP platforms, engineering drawings, and bills of material to support daily operations.
- Conduct Layered Process Audits (LPAs) to ensure process compliance and continuous improvement.
- Perform First Article Inspections (FAIs) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities related to changes in source, process, or design.
- Access and interpret calibration records within electronic databases and provide support to operators regarding gage status and usage requirements.
- Develop work instructions and apply Lean Six Sigma problem-solving methodologies to identify root causes and drive corrective actions (Yellow Belt project eligible).
- Create and support problem-solving documentation and continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as 8D, PDCA, A3, and Pareto analysis.
- Process, maintain, and retrieve test reports and quality records in both electronic and hard-copy formats.
- Understand, maintain, and continuously improve standard work practices and documentation.
- Develop, revise, and manage quality documentation, including Visual Operating Procedures (VOPs), Work Instructions, and Control Plans.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
## Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in a manufacturing environment and/or quality role.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience utilizing PC-DMIS 2024.2 for coordinate measuring machine (CMM) programming, inspection, and data analysis.
