Description
##
At our manufacturing plant in Suchdol nad Lužnicí, we produce circuit breakers, air circuit breakers, printed circuit boards, and switchboards.
We are currently looking for an experienced colleague to join our team in the position of Lead Industrialization Engineer
The Lead Industrialization Engineer will lead industrialization activities for new product introduction (NPI) projects, from early development through release for production. This role will drive the development, validation, and implementation of robust processes to ensure successful product launches and sustainable production. The position will also provide technical production operations input for existing products and designs, working closely with cross functional teams and external suppliers to enable efficient industrialization for Product Line Support (PLS) initiatives, manage technical and schedule risks, and meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
- Lead industrialization activities for NPI and PLS projects from development through release production, including ramp-up and ramp-down of new, modified, or discontinued products. Specific focus on new product development for ACB circuit breakers.
- Provide technical input to design decisions to optimize manufacturability (DFM), testability (DFT), cost, quality, and component lifecycle robustness. Including input/implementation of fixturing, assembly processes and production line launch for new ACB products.
- Drive appropriate Industry 4.0 practices, including traceability, serialization, connected shop-floor systems, and manufacturing data analytics.
- Lead specification and procurement of tooling, test equipment, fixtures, and capital assets. Assist with quoting, design, issuing POs, and validation as applicable. Develop technical concepts, CAPEX proposals, investment justifications, and business cases for manufacturing equipment and tooling.
- Lead prototype and pilot builds. Including part inventory, organization, product build, product shipment, and validation through prototype testing.
- Validate manufacturing processes and production readiness, and support process capability, yield improvement, and manufacturing issue resolution.
- Develop manufacturing standards, process controls, manufacturing process validation requirements, work instructions, production documentation, and operator training. Lead manufacturing engineering changes from technical assessment through process qualification and production release.
- Analyze early products and process data using DFSS, Six Sigma, and Lean methodologies. Drive manufacturing improvements in productivity, process capability, cost, and sustainable production performance.
- Manage product costs and capital forecasts for NPI and PLS programs and support cost reduction initiatives and Continuous Improvement (CI) programs. Assess manufacturing capacity, technical resilience, and production continuity risks, and coordinate appropriate mitigation actions.
- Mentor and develop engineers and peers to strengthen industrialization capabilities
