ADAMH is currently seeking a Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting. In this role, you will direct and monitor general accounting and financial reporting functions, financial services areas, and preparation and distribution of all periodic financial statements.

What you’ll do:
- Responsible for monthly and annual financial reporting of the organization, including comparative balance statements, schedules of revenues, expenditures and changes in cash balance, and board administrative spending authority analyses.
- Implements and maintains a system of internal controls that will ensure all financial reporting is prepared in compliance with all financial policies.
- Coordinates the development of annual audit (creation and review of financial statements, notes, supporting schedules, Management Discussion and Analysis MD&A).
- Oversees, reviews, and approves the day-to-day activities of the accounting department, including provider and vendor payments, processing of deposits, invoicing, and payroll.
- Maintains ADAMH chart of accounts and revises as required.
- Monitors ADAMH’s administrative budget for applicable classification of expenditures and provides analysis to team leaders.
- In conjunction with the Senior Finance Director, monitors appropriation authority; recommends amendments, if required.
- Provides guidance for expenditures, reimbursements of funds, and revenue management of federal, state, and local funds.
- Develops, reviews and edits contracts, purchase orders, board actions and administrative memos.
- Conducts periodic reviews of ADAMH accounting policies and procedures, including the software and systems used for accounting.
- Works with Fiscal Systems Manager in accordance with data governance policies and procedures to ensure financial data collection, processing, and reporting are designed, configured, and performing correctly.
- Responsible for user access control standards to ensure only authorized users have access to Franklin County’s Enterprise Resource Planning system.
- Works cooperatively with other team members in the achievement of team and organizational goals; responsible for continuous quality improvements processes.
- Supervises, trains, and provides work direction and problem-solving assistance for personnel, including oversight of daily operations and performance monitoring of assigned staff.
What we're looking for:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or Public Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience : Three (3) years' work experience with public sector accounting.
Three (3) year's work experience in statistical analysis and business management.
Three (3) years’ work experience using various computer software applications, including spreadsheet, data base and word processing applications.
Three (3) years of management and supervisory experience.
Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Expert team management, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Expert knowledge of ERP systems (MUNIS)
Expert knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and PM tools.
Finance experience in a highly visible public sector agency, private corporation or philanthropic foundation preferred.
