Non-ExemptJob Description:
This role will be part of a crew responsible for maintaining and repairing drainage pipes, basins, and easements using a variety of machines, tools, and equipment.
Examples of Duties:
- Cut and remove debris from drainage easements.
- Assist in repairing drainage pipes and/or drainage catch basins.
- Operate hand tools and equipment such as weed eaters, pole saws, chainsaws, and other equipment.
- Assists in taking measurements of the worksite and in deciding quantities and types of material and equipment needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Will serve as a backup in the absence of the crew leader as driver of city crew vehicles.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED.
- Valid Driver's License to assist in driving a pickup truck to deliver tools, materials, equipment, etc.
Other Necessary Requirements:
- May require evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
- In the event of major storms or other emergency situations, this position may be subject to 24-hour shifts or any other emergency schedule that is necessary to meet the City’s needs.
