Description
We are seeking an exceptional leader to head our APAC IT Director. This role ensures that APAC employees work productively, reliably, and with minimal friction. It does so by delivering world-class IT support, operational excellence, and digital workplace experiences. Partnering closely with business leaders, HR, Workplace Services, Engineering, and global IT teams, this leader will drive regional strategy, service transformation, and organizational effectiveness while championing an AI-first approach to employee technology services.
What you will be doing:
Connects global strategy with local execution, advocates for APAC employee needs, develops high-performing regional teams, and drives cross-functional teamwork to deliver a seamless and scalable employee experience across all APAC locations.
Lead regional site operations and service delivery, including employee support, onboarding, executive support, incident response, and operational reliability, with clear accountability for service performance and employee satisfaction.
Drive digital transformation through AI, automation, self-service capabilities, and intelligent workflows, reducing friction and shifting the organization from reactive support to proactive employee enablement.
Partner with site management, Human Resources, Facilities Services (RESS), and business collaborators to align technology services with workforce growth, expansion plans, employee needs, and local business priorities.
Standardize support models, service ownership, escalation processes, and operational practices across APAC sites, ensuring a predictable, scalable, and high-quality employee experience.
Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing team of managers, engineers, and contractors while building leadership capability, succession plans, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.
Own regional vendor and contractor strategies, ensuring strong performance, quality, coverage, and alignment with business expectations and operational objectives.
Use data, operational metrics, and employee insights to continuously optimize service delivery, improve efficiency, influence resource decisions, and deliver measurable business outcomes at scale.
What we need to see:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
20+ overall years enterprise architecture, IT leadership, or large-scale software engineering (including SaaS, digital workplace, and AI/ML systems) .
8 + years of leadership experience leading geographically distributed teams and driving large-scale operational or transformational initiatives.
Good understanding of support models based on artificial intelligence, automation platforms, agentic workflows, and self-service technologies.
Excellent executive communication, collaborator management, and influencing skills.
Deep knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) and ServiceNow (HR, Security, Finance modules preferred)
Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Automated testing frameworks, and structured software development methodologies
Experience using automation, analytics, AI, and technologies supporting modern work environments to improve service delivery and employee efficiency.
Fluent verbal and written proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Built and scaled an agent platform or agent developer experience used by multiple teams (SDKs, templates, reference apps, reusable building blocks)
Experience leading APAC or global workforce technology groups within large-scale, high-growth technology companies.
Experience driving workplace transformation initiatives and operating model redesign in various countries and cultures.
Proven experience leading enterprise IT support, site operations, service delivery, or employee technology organizations spanning various countries or regions.
Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and lead complex cross-functional initiatives across global organizations.
