This position requires a highly specialized blend of application knowledge and strong experience, enabling effective collaboration with both business stakeholders, development team and external vendors. The role plays a pivotal part in ensuring alignment between business objectives and technology delivery, thereby directly influencing and running the overall transformation of the Italian application landscape with the aim to open-up for offshore support. The successful candidate will take initiative, exercise independent thinking, multi-task activities, set priorities, and meet aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment with accountability for supporting modernization and operational resilience. Must have strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills and be interested in working in a professional and team-oriented environment.

Role overview/Roles and responsibility:
- Leads the end-to-end planning and management of a small to medium project on vendor and application management
- Lead modernization initiatives, including cloud-native development, application simplification, legacy transformation, and platform rationalization.
- Support the Italian Head of Investment Services Technology on application management and administration
- Drive adoption of automation, DevOps, and engineering best practices to improve speed, quality, and resilience.
- Plans, organizes and controls the activities of cross-functional project teams
- Develops and maintains an end-to-end project plan (preferably in Jira), manages resource forecasts and cost plans.
- Vulnerability management and Ensure alignment with enterprise risk, cyber, and regulatory expectations.
- Coordinates communication with sponsors and management concerning the project status, risks, and issues resolution.
- Act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders across business, technology, operations, and risk.
- Identifies and uses best practices for project management
- Demonstrates an understanding of the impact of problems across the organization and facilitates a collaborative solution
- Coordinate across many teams with different responsibilities and goals to communicate, negotiate, and manage tasks
Requirements:
- Strong experience working with applications in a vendor landscape within the Investment Services industry.
- Strong Project Management skill set. Strong understanding of current technologies with past experience in a technical role.
- Outstanding communication skills with confidence to deliver difficult messages to senior and executive management when necessary.
- Fluency in English
Minimum Salary:
€85,000 AnnualThe minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the successful candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.
Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.
In addition to base salary, employees may, subject to applicable local laws, company policies, and plan terms, be eligible for a country-aligned benefits package and may be considered, at the Company’s sole discretion, for discretionary annual performance-based awards.
