As a member of Change Grow Live's Smoking Cessation Leadership Team, you will provide national strategic, operational and professional leadership across our network of SmokeFree services. You will act as the organisation's subject matter expert for smoking cessation, leading the development and implementation of Change Grow Live's national smoking cessation strategy and supporting our ambition to increase the accessibility, quality and impact of evidence-based stop smoking interventions.

You will have responsibility for a portfolio of SmokeFree services, providing senior leadership for service quality, performance, workforce development, governance, compliance, innovation, business growth and stakeholder engagement. You will support and challenge local leaders to deliver high-performing, equitable and sustainable services whilst fostering a culture of learning, collaboration and continuous improvement.

 

Location: Nationwide

Hours: Full time, 37.5 per week 

Contract Type: Permanent 

 

Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

About the role:

 

  • Lead the development, implementation and review of Change Grow Live's national smoking cessation strategy.
  • Act as the organisation's recognised subject matter expert for smoking cessation policy, practice and service development.
  • Monitor national policy developments, emerging evidence and best practice, ensuring these are translated into operational delivery and organisational learning.
  • Represent Change Grow Live at national, regional and strategic smoking cessation forums, networks and partnerships. 5. Provide senior operational oversight for a portfolio of SmokeFree services, ensuring services are safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.
  • Lead integration between SmokeFree services and wider Change Grow Live treatment and specialist services, promoting innovation, consistency and collaboration.

About You:

 

  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience.
  • Significant experience of leading smoking cessation services.
  • Experience of strategic leadership across multiple services, geographical areas or programmes.
  • Experience of developing and implementing organisational strategy.
  • Experience of managing contracts, service level agreements and strategic partnerships.
  • Experience of influencing commissioners, senior leaders and system partners.
  • Experience of workforce leadership and line management.
  • Experience of quality improvement and organisational change programmes.

Salary Range (pro rata if part time)

CGL points 48 to 52 (£54,663.24 - £59,230.68)
