Job Description:

Materials Inspector
Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Materials Inspector to join our team! In this role you will perform inspections and testing coordination to ensure all materials delivered and used on site comply with approved submittals, project specifications, and relevant standards.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Inspect, sample, and verify incoming construction materials for compliance with approved submittals and specifications.

  • Witness and/or coordinate field and laboratory tests (e.g., concrete, asphalt, aggregates, compaction, rebar/coating tests) as required.

  • Review test reports and ensure results meet acceptance criteria.

  • Coordinate with contractors and laboratories to schedule inspections/tests without impacting progress.

  • Verify proper storage/handling of materials and ensure traceability and correct use in works and as-built records.

  • Raise and track non-conformances; ensure corrective actions are implemented and documented.

  • Maintain inspection logs, test requests/results, NCR records, and materials documentation; contribute to routine reporting.


What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil engineering or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience on roads/bridges/utilities projects.

  • Ability to read and enforce drawings, specifications, ITPs, and method statements.

  • Strong computer literacy for records and reporting (MS Office and project systems).

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with strong documentation discipline.
