The Global Senior Domain Solution Architect – IT Infrastructure is responsible for defining, governing, and evolving the enterprise infrastructure architecture landscape across cloud, on-premises hosting, workplace, network connectivity, and related infrastructure services. The role ensures that infrastructure solutions are scalable, secure, compliant, cost-efficient, and aligned with Sandoz enterprise architecture principles, standards and business strategy.The architect serves as the primary technology authority for infrastructure architecture within global programs and projects, providing architectural guidance, technology roadmaps, standards, and governance while collaborating with business stakeholders, Enterprise Architecture, Security, Operations, and external partners. The role is accountable for ensuring that infrastructure investments support operational excellence, service resilience, regulatory compliance, and future business growth.

The role ensures that infrastructure solutions are scalable, secure, compliant, cost-efficient, and aligned with Sandoz enterprise architecture principles, standards and business strategy.
The architect serves as the primary technology authority for infrastructure architecture within global programs and projects, providing architectural guidance, technology roadmaps, standards, and governance while collaborating with business stakeholders, Enterprise Architecture, Security, Operations, and external partners. The role is accountable for ensuring that infrastructure investments support operational excellence, service resilience, regulatory compliance, and future business growth.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Define and govern target-state infrastructure architecture across cloud, data centre, network, and workplace services.
- Develop architecture standards, principles, roadmaps, and reference architectures aligned with enterprise strategy.
- Provide architectural leadership and guidance for infrastructure transformation and strategic programmes.
- Evaluate solution options and support architectural decision-making based on business outcomes, risks, and costs.
- Drive cloud adoption, hybrid/multi-cloud strategies, infrastructure automation, and platform standardisation.
- Ensure infrastructure solutions meet security, compliance, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Assess emerging technologies and vendor offerings to support future business needs.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, operations teams, and vendors to deliver scalable and resilient solutions.
What you’ll bring to the role:
Essential Requirements:
- 5+ years of IT experience, including 2+ years in Solution, Domain, or Infrastructure Architecture roles.
- Experience designing enterprise-scale infrastructure solutions within complex global environments.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly Azure and/or AWS.
- Expertise in infrastructure architecture, including hosting, networking, workplace technologies, IAM, security, monitoring, and data protection.
- Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or equivalent.
- Understanding of security, risk management, governance, and regulated environments (e.g., GxP, GDPR, SOX).
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into practical technology solutions and influence senior stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and vendor management skills.
