About the Role:

We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Cleaner to join our Administration team based in Lae. The primary focus of this role is to provide effective cleaning services and maintaining a hygienic, safe environment in all areas of the site.

Reporting to the Office Manager, your competency and experience will include:

• Ensure safety goals are achieved through personal commitment, no harm to self or others and participation in safety initiatives.
• Provide effective cleaning services and maintain a hygienic, safe environment in all areas of the site.
• Cleans, mops, and replaces toilet rolls, and soap once per day in all relevant areas.
• Dust and wipe down all fixtures including fittings, ledges, vents, furniture, and equipment.
• Empties and cleans all rubbish containers.
• Stores and maintains all cleaning materials and equipment in a secure environment.
• Cleans all floor areas including vacuuming and shampooing carpets, sweeping, and mopping vinyl and tiled floors, and stripping and sealing vinyl and wooden floors.
• Cleans all glass, windows, screens, and phones and undertaking specialised cleaning in food preparation areas.
• Ensures hazardous chemical substance, insecticides are used and handled in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety guidelines and industry standards.
• Report immediately any damaged or faulty tools and equipment to the Office Manager.

About You:

You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:

• Grade 10 Certificate
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
• Cleaner with prior experience in an industrial organization
• Literate, and be able to read and write.
• Understand safety signs and safe handling of cleaning agents.
