Description
Accountabilities:
- Define and drive SIM's long-range technology strategy — translating emerging technologies (AI, GenAI, cloud-native) into prioritised investments aligned to SIM's academic mission, revenue growth targets and competitive positioning as a lifelong learning institution.
- Build and govern digital and platform capabilities across SIM's value chain; architect a modular, interoperable learning technology stack and evaluate emerging EdTech and GenAI platforms.
- Lead SIM's business process digitalisation – identify and deliver automation, AI-assisted workflows and lean redesign initiatives, with measurable ROI outcomes for each.
- Govern the integration of legacy and emerging technologies across SIM's enterprise architecture — ensuring interoperability, data integrity and security; lead technology change management to drive adoption and digital readiness at all levels.
- Build and govern SIM's enterprise data infrastructure — including data platform architecture, governance frameworks and AI/ML pipelines; enable operational and strategic decision-support for our businesses (GE, SIMA and International).
- Enable SIM Group's commercial growth targets through technology — deploying digital CRM, AI-driven customer insights and personalised service capabilities to drive customer acquisition, conversion and revenue optimisation.
- Own SIM's multi-modal learning technology capabilities — integrating synchronous, asynchronous, hybrid and AI-assisted delivery to personalise learner experiences; align technology investments to engagement metrics, completion rates and NPS; govern the EdTech vendor ecosystem.
- Design and sustain a future-ready IT organisational structure — establishing IT governance frameworks (Technology & Operations Committee) and leading a high-performing, multi-divisional technology team across DSPI Divisions.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering. A Master's in IT Management, Business Administration, Digital Transformation or equivalent is preferred.
- Professional credentials: Certified Chief Information Officer (CCIO), TOGAF (Enterprise Architecture), ITIL Master, AWS/Azure Solutions Architect (Professional) or equivalent are advantageous.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive technology leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a CIO, CTO or equivalent C-suite/senior technology executive role.
- Demonstrated track record of leading large-scale digital and platform transformation programmes in a complex, multi-division organisation.
- Proven experience building and governing enterprise data infrastructure, analytics platforms and AI/ML capability at scale.
- Experience in the Education, EdTech or lifelong learning sector is advantageous.
- Hands-on experience governing GenAI adoption, cloud-native architecture and responsible AI frameworks is a strong advantage.
