Description
Junior Interior Designer - Carlsbad, CA
RQ Construction is seeking a motivated Junior Interior Designer to join our Design team in Carlsbad, CA. This is a great opportunity for an emerging design professional who is passionate about commercial interiors and wants to expand their experience working alongside architects, engineers, clients, and construction professionals.
In this position, you'll contribute to the development of interior spaces that are both functional and visually engaging. You'll support projects from early design concepts through construction, with opportunities to work on a diverse range of commercial and Department of Defense projects.

- Pay: $28.00–$32.00 per hour, based on experience

What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design; graduation from a CIDA-accredited program is preferred
- 1–2 years of professional commercial interior design experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
- Working knowledge of Revit/Autodesk 2022 or newer and AutoCAD 2022 or newer
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, and Navisworks
- Familiarity with rendering tools such as Twinmotion, Lumion, or similar software
- Ability to learn and adapt to new design and construction technologies; training is available
- Experience supporting government or military projects is a plus
- NCIDQ certification is preferred but not required
