Position Summary...

The Intelligence Director for the Fraud Fusion Center will lead a dedicated team responsible for overseeing fraud signal intake across external and internal signals, connecting the intelligence outputs and maintaining visibility into fraud themes. This role operates within the Global Investigations Enterprise Fraud Investigations organization and is pivotal in providing an enterprise-wide, objective perspective on fraud.

The Fraud Fusion Center serves as an Enterprise Center of Excellence, integrating fraud intelligence through advanced technology to identify cross-channel threats efficiently. The team accelerates fraud insights, establishes strong feedback mechanisms, and enhances governance to support consistent investigative standards. By unifying fraud trends and intelligence, the team enables faster detection, smarter responses, and proactive risk mitigation. Collaborating across business units and external partners, the team drives continuous improvement in investigative processes, ensuring alignment with regulatory compliance and ethical standards to protect the company and its stakeholders from evolving fraud risks.

What you'll do...

  • Lead a fraud intelligence team based at the Walmart Home Office.
  • Build strong working partnerships to receive and process fraud intelligence.
  • Collaborate with internal business partners supporting awareness and fraud prevention.
  • Oversee fraud signal intake and emerging risk reports.
  • Connect intelligence outputs to investigations, analytics, and action.
  • Maintain visibility into emerging fraud themes across the enterprise. 
  • Promote and uphold company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Provide on-call support in response to critical incidents.
  • Deliver regular briefings, reports, and strategic recommendations to leadership on fraud trends, exposure, and mitigation.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and playbooks for fraud intelligence intake, triage, and dissemination.

What you'll bring...

  • Skilled in fraud risk assessments.
  • Able to prioritize competing issues and escalations.
  • Exceptional communicator who can present complex information to technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Experienced in liaising with law enforcement and government agencies.
  • Capable of triaging, escalating, and managing emerging risks.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, able to navigate business platforms to present findings and identify risks.
  • Proficient in leveraging large datasets to identify trends.
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with the ability to quickly learn new tools with minimal training.

Preferred Qualifications...
  • 7–10 years of progressive experience in fraud intelligence, threat intelligence, or a related field, including at least 3 years in a people-leadership capacity within retail, financial services, or another high-volume consumer facing industry where fraud typologies are diverse and fast evolving.
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field.  Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Cyber Intelligence Professional (CCIP), Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) training or certification, or comparable intelligence certifications.
  • Experience standing up or maturing an intelligence function to include building the SOPs, playbooks, and intake workflows from the ground up.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce forward-looking strategic fraud intelligence assessments, not just reactive case-level reporting.
  • Ability to ensure intelligence outputs are consumed and acted upon by analytics, investigations, and business enablement teams.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Political Science, or related field and 5 years’ experience in investigative casework/management, auditing, security, or related field OR 7 years’ experience in investigative casework/management, auditing, security, or
related field.
• 3 years of supervisory experience.
