[What the role is]
Office of Finance - Deputy Manager[What you will be working on]
• Oversee the management of fixed assets, including acquisition, registration, stocktake, transfer, write-off, and disposal, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and audit requirements.
• Administer and monitor projects, including budget tracking, expenditure management, claims processing, funding utilisation, and project reporting.
• Support the annual budgeting process, budget reviews, financial forecasting, and expenditure monitoring to ensure effective utilisation of resources.
• Review and evaluate Approval of Requirements (AOR) submissions to ensure completeness, budget availability, compliance with procurement policies, and alignment with organisational objectives.
• Develop, implement, and review policies, procedures, and internal controls to strengthen governance and operational effectiveness.
• Prepare management reports, financial analyses, presentations, and papers to support decision-making.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of audit findings and recommendations.
• Supervise, mentor, and guide officers within the team to achieve departmental objectives and maintain service excellence.
• Lead or participate in process improvement, digitalisation, and transformation initiatives.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
[What we are looking for]
• Qualification in Accountancy, or its related fields.
• Relevant Public Sector finance experience will be an advantage.
• Proficient in IT tools and productivity software; comfortable adopting AI-assisted tools and digital solutions to improve work efficiency, though expertise is not required.
• Good writing and verbal communication skills.
• A collaborative team player who is meticulous, analytical, systematic, and resourceful.
