Classroom Management and Instruction

• Integrates the Christian worldview in all areas of instruction
• Clearly communicates and consistently enforces high standards for student behavior
• Is fair and respectful toward students and builds positive relationships
• Uses the materials left by the classroom teacher as the instruction outline for the day
• Adapts lessons and units to exploit teachable moments and correct misunderstandings
• Utilizes instructional time well
• Maintains student safety and safety protocols

Requirements

Education, Certifications, and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Teaching experience highly valued

Technical Competencies and Skills

• Possesses strong oral and written communication skills
• Works effectively as part of a team
• Demonstrates strong work ethic
• Displays effective multi-tasking and time management skills

Requirements

Physical

Requires standing and walking intermittently throughout a significant portion of the day (up to 2/3 of the day)

Physical ability to navigate students to safety in the event of an emergency

General
