What You Will Do:
Actively demonstrates the organization’s mission and core values, and conducts oneself at all times in a manner consistent with these values.
Knows and adheres to all laws and regulations pertaining to patient health, safety and medical information.
Conduct new hire interview health assessments, prepare written documentation and complete computer data entry. Administer and oversee immunization and drug screening programs as appropriate. Ensure proper clearance to work and track outcomes.
Participate in maintaining compliance with the Tuberculosis Screening Program, administer PPD skin tests, checking, coordinating TB questionnaires and chest x-rays. Assist with other Employee Health Services (EHS) programs, which promote wellness/health such as influenza clinics, blood donation drives, etc.
Assist and explain to employees, supervisors, non-employees and others the policies and procedures for Employee Health.
Act as a liaison with Occupational Health physician or Emergency Department (during health service hours) in the provision of first-aid and other types of care for employees who become ill or injured while on duty. Investigate and follow-up on the progress and status of injuries/illness as needed, keeping the employee’s supervisor informed of outcomes. Prepare, process and track appropriate documentation in software.
Participates in improving EHS performance improvement outcomes. Ensure that appropriate compliance is maintained in areas of purview with regulatory requirements of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals, Worker’s Compensation, IOSHA, ISDH and other regulations, which may be required and are fully complied.
Reports equipment and supplies needed in the Employee Health Services Department. Ensure that all equipment and supplies are maintained in a safe, satisfactory and secure manner at all times.
Maintains excellence in customer service consistent with our mission treating employees and non-employees in an appropriate, service oriented manner. Conducts self in a polite, confidential, forthright manner, communicating with others using discretion, judgment, and timeliness.
Initiates, completes and files first reports of injury as requested for Worker’s Compensation and communicate with the Worker’s Compensation carrier as necessary.
Supports the Infection Control Department to ensure employee, non-employee and patient protection by execution of Infection Control policies and procedures.
Maintain current and former employee health files and any computer data related to such files
Performs other duties consistent with purpose of job as directed.

What We Are Looking For:
Education: Requires a RN degree with current State of Indiana registration. Must be able to assess own continuing education requirements and seek out programs to meet these needs. Keeps informed on developments and trends that relate to areas of responsibility.
Licensure: RN Indiana license. CPR & TB certified.
Experience: Must possess three years or more of nursing experience. Experience in the coordination of employee health program and previous occupational health, safety, public health and nursing education highly desirable. Experience with data entry in HR electronic system, and standard office software preferred.
