Position: Quality Engineer - IBMS & CFS
Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to support quality assurance and quality control activities for IBMS and CFS projects. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, testing procedures, installation audits, and documentation throughout project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor project quality plans for IBMS and CFS projects.
• Conduct quality inspections for installation and commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with approved engineering drawings, project specifications, and customer requirements.
• Perform quality audits at project sites and identify non-conformities.
• Verify installation quality of:
  • Building Management Systems (BMS)
  • Fire Alarm Systems
  • Access Control Systems
  • CCTV Systems
  • Public Address Systems
  • Intrusion Detection Systems
  • HVAC Controls
• Review inspection reports, test records, and commissioning documentation.
• Coordinate with project engineers, site teams, customers, and subcontractors on quality-related matters.
• Track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and ensure closure.
• Support factory and site acceptance testing (FAT/SAT).
• Ensure compliance with EHS, quality management systems, and customer standards.
• Prepare quality metrics, audit reports, and project quality dashboards.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 4 to 8 years of experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control within IBMS, BMS, ELV, Fire & Security, or Building Automation projects.
• Experience working in commercial buildings, industrial facilities, airports, hospitals, data centers, or large infrastructure projects.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of IBMS and Building Automation Systems.
• Understanding of Fire Alarm Systems and Fire Detection Technologies.
• Experience in Security Systems including CCTV, ACS, and PA Systems.
• Quality inspection and audit practices.
• Testing and commissioning documentation.
• NCR management and CAPA implementation.
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• ISO 9001 Quality Management System awareness.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Bosch, Carrier, or similar building technologies.
• Knowledge of project lifecycle management and commissioning processes.
• Certification in Quality Management or Internal Auditing is an added advantage.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
